FC Whangarei has been chosen by New Zealand Football as a Fantails Hub for 2025
Fantails is aimed at all girls aged 5 – 13 years, regardless of ability to try football for the first time or continue playing in a fun, safe environment.

FC Whangarei was formed in 1999 when Whangarei City AFC and Whangarei Rovers agreed to merge. 2024 was our 25th Anniversary and we celebrated with style!
We can trace our roots back to 1950, when Whangarei United was formed. For many years we offered the highest level of football in Northland and we continue to achieve great success across the board.
We are a friendly club, run by dedicated volunteers, committed to providing for all levels of football for men, women and children from our community.
